Job summary

Promise Resource Network Inc. seeks a Harm Reduction and Recovery Hub Peer Support Specialist in Raleigh, NC. This full-time role focuses on developing harm reduction strategies, providing direct peer support, and facilitating recovery-oriented activities within the Recovery Hub and cafe.

You will train peers, connect participants to resources, and help design education, workshops, and outreach efforts while ensuring documentation, compliance, and strong community partnerships.

Qualifications

• Current NC Certified Peer Support Specialist required.
• Current Recovery Coach certification or plan to obtain within 3 months of hire.
• Lived experience with substance use recovery, mental health challenges, or reentry.
• Commitment to harm reduction principles in reentry and recovery settings.
• Ability to work collaboratively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience facilitating groups or providing peer support is an asset.
• Must have a valid NC Driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Design and coordinate harm reduction initiatives, including education and access to supplies.
• Provide one-on-one support and engage individuals in the Recovery Hub program.
• Facilitate harm reduction and overdose prevention workshops for staff and participants.
• Build relationships with local health organizations and community partners.
• Track and report program outcomes and assist with grant applications and data entry.
