Job summary

Promise Resource Network Inc. in Charlotte, NC seeks a Recovery Court and Hub Peer Support Specialist to provide one-to-one peer mentoring and group support to individuals facing mental health or substance use challenges.

You will carry a full caseload and participate in Recovery Court activities. Responsibilities include coordinating recovery plans, facilitating hub classes, attending court and staffing sessions, and collaborating with care teams.

Qualifications

• Current NC Certified Peer Support Specialist or ability to complete certification within 90 days.
• Lived experience of being a parent with DSS and/or YFS involvement.
• Lived experience of justice involvement per sequential intercept model.
• Lived experience of recovery from MH/SA/trauma.
• Belief in recovery and commitment to peer support.
• Willingness to receive guidance, training and mentoring.
• Demonstrates leadership by modeling PRN’s mission and values.
• Ability to interact effectively with public and stakeholders.
• Valid NC Driver’s license.
• No pending criminal charges with YFS.

Responsibilities

• Interface with peers, colleagues, service providers, family members, and community in an empathetic, professional manner.
• Facilitate small and large group presentations on mental health topics.
• Coordinate peer service activities and recovery plans.
• Attend court dates, staffing sessions, and court sessions for Recovery Court.
• Maintain peer files and complete paperwork promptly.
• Collaborate with Bridges case manager for meetings.
• Support Hub daily and ensure hub coverage.
