Job summary

Bridgeway Behavioral Health Services is seeking a Wellness Specialist to join the Community Support Services team in Union, NJ. The role supports adults with serious mental illness, delivering recovery-focused interventions and coordinating services in Hudson and Essex Counties.

The position offers full-time hours, weekend coverage, and a comprehensive benefits package. A driving license and vehicle are required, with location-based responsibilities from Union, NJ.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a helping profession (social work, human services, counseling, psychiatric rehabilitation, psychology, or criminal justice).
• Bachelor's degree in a helping profession.
• Master's degree in a helping profession.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a wellness and recovery-oriented environment using person-first language and evidence-based practices.
• Participate in Comprehensive Rehabilitation Needs Assessments and develop Individual Recovery Plans (IRP).
• Perform crisis intervention as needed and coordinate services with the team.
• Provide supportive counseling, mental health education and wellness strategies.
• Engage individuals in the treatment process and educate on Wellness Recovery Action Plans (WRAP).
• Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with CSS regulations.
