Elizabeth Layton Center is seeking a qualified Peer Support Specialist to join our ACT team in Paola, KS. This role focuses on recovery-oriented, consumer-centered services within Assertive Community Treatment, providing face-to-face support in community settings and collaboration with the treatment team.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Certification in the State of Kansas to provide the service (background checks, training)
• Provider must self-identify as a current or former consumer of mental health services.

Responsabilités

• Helps consumers develop a support network from similar experiences.
• Assists consumers in regaining independence and engaging with clinicians about treatment.
• Identifies triggers and supports functional recovery in community settings.
• Participates in interdisciplinary team meetings and completes required trainings.
• Maintains timely, accurate documentation and adheres to policies.
