Job summary

Compass Health, Inc. is seeking a Peer Specialist for the ACT program in Nevada. The role focuses on using lived experience to empower individuals and support recovery within a home and community-based team. Typical schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm, with on-call crisis responsibilities.

This full-time position emphasizes compassionate, person-centered care and collaboration with an ACT/STEPS team to deliver wrap-around services in the community.

Qualifications

• Must self-identify as a current or former consumer of behavioral health, substance use, or co-occurring disorder services.
• Driver's license and agency-established minimum automobile coverage may be required.
• Certification as a Certified Peer Specialist may be required or pursued after hire.

Responsibilities

• Share personal recovery experiences and model healthy coping strategies
• Support individuals in building confidence, resilience, and community connections
• Assist with goal-setting and navigating treatment and support systems
• Help individuals recognize and build on their own strengths
• Participate as a valued member of the treatment team
• Provide transportation support when clinically indicated; driving is an essential function
• Provide on-call crisis intervention during night, evening and weekend hours
• Complete required state training, supervision, and certification processes (if not already certified)
