As a Peer Specialist, you will draw on your own recovery journey to inspire hope, resilience, and community connection, working directly with individuals in their homes and community settings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must self-identify as a current or former consumer of behavioral health, substance use, or co-occurring disorder services.
• A valid driver’s license and agency established minimum automobile coverage required.

Responsibilities

• Share personal recovery experiences and model healthy coping strategies.
• Support individuals in building confidence, resilience, and community connections.
• Assist with goal-setting and navigating treatment and support systems.
• Help individuals recognize and build on their own strengths.
• Participate as a valued member of the treatment team.
• Provide transportation support when clinically indicated; driving is an essential function of this position.
• Provide on-call crisis intervention covering nighttime, evening and weekend hours.
• Complete required state training, supervision, and certification processes (if not already certified).
