Merakey is seeking a Peer Support Specialist to join our team in Shreveport, LA. This role focuses on helping consumers regain control of their recovery through individual and group encounters, while modeling coping skills and offering peer support and advocacy in various settings.

Travel within the region and an on-call rotation are required. The ideal candidate has lived experience with a behavioral health diagnosis, at least 12 months of demonstrated recovery, and must complete a 2 week (76

Competenze

• Active driver's license and willingness to work in a community setting with members diagnosed with severe and persistent mental illness.
• Lived Experience: Peer Support Specialists must have lived experience with a behavioral health diagnosis.
• A behavioral health diagnosis can include mental health challenges, addiction challenges, or co-occurring disorders.
• Peer Support Specialists must have at least twelve (12) months of continuous demonstrated recovery.
• Be able to complete a 2 week training/76 hour training.
