Merakey seeks a Peer Support Specialist to join our team in New Orleans, LA. The role involves assisting consumers in regaining control over their lives and their recovery process, while modeling recovery and providing peer support in diverse settings.

Ideal candidates have lived experience with behavioral health challenges, including addiction or co-occurring disorders, and can complete a 2 week training. Earn $20.61/hour plus a $4,500 yearly mileage stipend.

Qualificações

• Must have an active driver's license.
• Lived Experience: Peer Support Specialists must have lived experience with a behavioral health diagnosis.
• A behavioral health diagnosis can include mental health challenges, addiction challenges, or co-occurring disorders.

Responsabilidades

• Assist consumers in regaining control over their lives and recovery process.
• Role model recovery competency and coping skills.
• Serve as a consumer advocate and provide peer support in various settings.
• Provide information and consultation to team members to promote a recovery-oriented culture.
• Travel within the region and participate in on-call rotation.
