Job summary

Intermountain Centers is seeking an Employment Specialist to deliver Supported Employment services, helping members obtain and sustain competitive work aligned with their recovery goals.

Responsibilities include engaging members, assessing vocational functioning, job development and search, follow‑along support, employer education, and coordination with treatment teams; 50% of time in the community, with adherence to CIC‑RSA‑VR protocols.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• One year of prior experience in providing employment services.
• Experience working with people with mental health disorders preferred.
• Experience with vocational services.

Responsibilities

• Engages members to support competitive employment in integrated settings.
• Assesses vocational functioning regularly.
• Helps members with job development and job search aligned to needs and interests.
• Provides follow-along services to sustain employment.
• Educates and supports employers, negotiates accommodations as needed.
• Outreach to maintain engagement and notes any no-shows.
• Coordinates with treatment team to integrate vocational services.
• Creates individual employment plans with members and teams; updates quarterly.
• Spends 50% of direct service time in the community.
• Attends trainings and represents the agency vision.
• Follows CIC-RSA-VR protocol.
• Coordinates referrals to employment providers.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
