Job summary

Mental Health America of Los Angeles (MHALA) is seeking a Personal Service Coordinator (Temporary) to assess and engage potential members for MHALA ISC services under the supervision of the program manager. The role uses intensive case management to help individuals access requested services and transition to appropriate levels of care.

You will enroll new members, develop Recovery Plans, advocate for housing and benefits, accompany members to appointments, provide coaching and life-skills

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in a human-related field preferred.
• Comfort with psychosocial rehab and community services.

Responsibilities

• Engage and enroll new members and develop Recovery Plans.
• Mediates and advocates for housing and health-care benefits.
• Visit members at home, hospital, or jail as needed.
• Transport members to appointments and errands.
• Provide coaching, counseling, and life-skills training.
• Devise outreach strategies for isolated members.
• Provide timely feedback to program management.
• Assist members toward education, employment, and community integration.
• Attend staff and community meetings as needed.
• Complete program documentation with 5 hours of interventions per day and 24-hour turnaround.
