Job summary

Mental Health America of Los Angeles (MHALA) is seeking a Personal Service Coordinator to support members through intensive case management, recovery planning, and transitions to appropriate services. This role emphasizes outreach, housing and benefits navigation, and community integration in a fast-paced team setting.

Under supervision, you will document interventions, collaborate with providers, and advocate for member needs while upholding equity and trauma-informed care.

Qualifications

• Bilingual Spanish speaking ability highly preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of one year of experience providing psychosocial rehab related services to a disabled population required.
• Bachelor degree in a human related field preferred.
• Must possess a high level of tolerance, patience, and understanding for individuals with multiple needs.
• Knowledgeable of harm reduction and motivational interviewing.

Responsibilities

• Engage and enroll members; develop Recovery Plans with individual goals.
• Mediate and advocate to obtain housing, healthcare benefits, and entitlements.
• Visit members at home, hospital, or jail to support stability and prevent homelessness.
• Transport members to appointments and errands when needed.
• Document program activities and provide coaching and feedback to members.
