Job summary

Phoenix Futures seeks a Dependency and Recovery Worker to support people open to Essex Probation with complex needs, providing psychosocial support and coordinating with probation practitioners to identify and deliver appropriate interventions.

You will contribute to ATR/DRR/MHRT assessments in court, liaise with prisons for smooth transitions to community services, and help upskill probation staff. Travel across the county is required.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in the field of problematic substance and alcohol use with a strong background in interventions and treatment.
• Evidence of effective partnership working and networking for client/service benefit.
• Experience managing a busy caseload with good organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with prisons to ensure smooth transition into community treatment services.
• Support probation to upskill staff around substance and alcohol use.
• Support people in recovery through relapse prevention and care planning.
• Build effective partnerships with other agencies.
