Job summary

Trilogy in Chicago is seeking a Recovery Counselor to assess clients’ needs and plan recovery through home, community, and office visits. You will provide client-centered, trauma-informed services using harm-reduction and coordinate with care teams.

The role requires at least 1 year of substance abuse experience, CADC/CRADC/CSADC/CAAP/CARS certification (or within 6 months), a valid IL license, and willingness to work evenings/weekends. A sign-on bonus is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• At least 1 year of experience with clients with substance abuse issues
• Valid Illinois driver’s license with daily access to a vehicle and $100,000/$300,000 liability insurance
• Certification in CADC/CRADC/CSADC/CAAP/CARS or obtain within 6 months of hire
• Evenings and weekends availability

Responsibilities

• Assess client’s personal, medical, emotional, social, and environmental situation through home, community, and office visits
• Coordinate an individual recovery plan with client and support system
• Educate about substance use and dual diagnosis risks
• Provide one-on-one services focusing on substance use goals
• Move clients to appropriate levels of care and link to community services
• Document services per policy and state requirements
• Provide crisis/on-call coverage as directed
