Job summary

Recovery Centers of America is seeking a Counselor to support patients in a treatment setting as part of a multidisciplinary team. The role involves direct clinical support, group facilitation, and active engagement to promote continuity of care.

You will document patient interactions, collaborate with the care team, and assist with family engagement and education within the RCA Care Model framework.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in related field preferred.
• High School diploma/GED required.
• One year experience in the field of substance use treatment or closely related field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
• Master's degree or licensure (LMHC/LCSW/LADC I) preferred.
• Bachelor's degree or higher preferred; related licensure/certification advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct 1-to-1 support sessions and facilitate groups as scheduled/assigned.
• Engage patients through recovery-oriented activities.
• Support the community to intervene with treatment engagement and de-escalate barriers.
• Carry out RCA Care Model with fidelity.
• Facilitate engagement and re-engagement sessions as needed.
• Document all patient interactions in continuity of care records.
• Support family engagement and orientation sessions; assist with family visits and consent communications.
• All other duties as assigned.
