Job summary

Recovery Innovations in Ellendale DE is seeking a Constable to provide a safe, recovery-focused environment for involuntary guests within a crisis setting. The role emphasizes non-violent de-escalation, and holds are a last resort to maintain safety and order.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Successful completion of Peer Employment Training and certification as a Peer Support Specialist required.
• Experience in behavioral health/crisis settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, recovery-oriented environment using a recovery coaching approach.
• Demonstrate non-violent verbal de-escalation at all times; use holds only as a last resort.
• Transport individuals safely as directed and ensure facility safety and security.
• Document required information and comply with all laws, policies, and procedures.
• Assist staff in reviewing and securing personal items; perform other related duties as assigned.
