Job summary

Recovery Innovations is seeking a Milieu Specialist in Fayetteville, NC. The role leads de-escalation and support strategies to prevent seclusion or restraint, providing emergency response when needed to maintain safety and security.

The position requires a high school diploma, valid food handler certification, and 2+ years in behavioral health. Rotating night shift, 7:00pm–7:30am, at the Crisis - Cumberland Recovery Response Center. $20/hour, full-time non-exempt.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Peer Employment Training preferred.
• Active and valid Food Handler’s Certification required.
• Security or law enforcement experience preferred.
• Minimum of two years of behavioral health experience, crisis environment preferred.
• Basic computer skills and effective communication required.
• Ability to work various shifts and pass de-escalation training.

Responsibilities

• Guest Care & Advocacy: Provides a No-Force-First recovery environment.
• Conducts ongoing observation of individuals for reporting changes.
• Assists in developing natural supports and community living with each guest.
• Assists with food preparation, serving and clean up, as needed.
• Assists individuals with shower and clean-up.
• Performs room safety checks and keeps rooms clean.
• Responds quickly to critical situations that may require restrictive interventions.
• Completes clinical documentation as required.
• Keeps abreast of federal/state regulations and Recovery Innovations policies.
• Understands and adheres to the Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policies.
• Cross-functional collaboration: Assists with admissions, discharges and transfers.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
