Job summary

APG Federal Credit Union (APGFCU) in Edgewood, MD, seeks a collection and recovery operations professional to support daily activities across frontline collections, bankruptcies, estates, and repossessions. You will coordinate with attorneys and vendors, process funds transfers, and maintain documentation in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires strong organization, attention to detail, regulatory knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple tasks while ensuring compliance with APGFCU

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional credit/collection training preferred.
• Minimum three years experience in collections, recovery operations, or financial services.
• Knowledge of collection practices, repossession processes, bankruptcy, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Administer daily collection support activities including letters, funds transfers, and documentation.
• Process repossession notifications, mail tracking, and total loss account administration.
• Handle bankruptcy, estate, legal accounts and coordinate with attorneys and external partners.
• Monitor email queues, respond to inquiries, and support internal partners and vendors.
