Job summary

APG Federal Credit Union seeks an experienced Collection & Recovery Administrator to support daily collections, repossessions, bankruptcies, and estate activities within the Member Solutions department. You will coordinate with attorneys, process funds transfers, and maintain recovery documentation in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, at least three years in collections or financial services, strong organizational skills, and proficiency with Excel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training in credit and collection practices or financial services preferred.
• Minimum three years of experience in collections, recovery operations, lending support, or financial services.
• Knowledge of collection practices, charged-off loan recovery, repossession processes, legal placements, and bankruptcy administration.
• Understanding of profit and loss recovery concepts and collection-related regulations.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience with skip tracing techniques and collection support processes preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and other business applications.

Responsibilities

• Support Collection and Recovery Operations (30%): Administer daily collection support activities including batch letter processing, funds transfer requests, collection documentation, re-age processing, account monitoring, and frontline collection support.
