Job summary

CHC in Akron seeks a Recovery Coach/Peer Supporter to provide encouragement and guidance to men in a treatment setting. You will help clients build recovery networks and pursue personal goals, while linking them to community resources and supports.

The role involves maintaining records and collaborating with staff to ensure comprehensive care and advocacy for participants in the program.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma and be a Certified Peer Recovery Supporter.
• Must be able to work evenings and weekends.
• Must be professional and flexible with the ability to work independently.
• Must have excellent interpersonal, time management and organizational skills.
• Current Ohio driver's license, clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and advocacy to men in a male treatment center.
• Help patients develop support within the recovery community and work toward goals in recovery.
• Refer and link patients to community services to meet needs.
• Maintain logs, reports, records and databases to support the role.
