Job summary

Community Health Alliance in Hamilton, OH is seeking a Peer Recovery Supporter to engage individuals in resiliency and recovery activities. You will educate clients on recovery models, share your story to offer hope, and connect them with resources and WRAP planning.

Qualified applicants must have lived experience, be Ohio-certified as a Peer Recovery Supporter, and meet the minimum requirements (18+, high school diploma, valid driver's license). This is a full-time position with benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• State of Ohio Peer Recovery Supporter Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Educates clients on the purpose of peer support and recovery models.
• Provides clients with clear definitions of recovery and its components.
• Share personal story to offer hope and help in changing patterns and behavior.
• Be informed about trauma and discuss experiences with clients to access resources for recovery.
• Help clients develop a Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP).
• Assist clients in exploring options to maintain stability and recovery.
• Provide culturally-sensitive and age-appropriate services.
• Encourage clients to become self-directed and focus on strengths.
• Provide resources beneficial in recovery.
