Growth Works in Canton, OH is seeking an On-Call Peer Recovery Coach to provide immediate peer support and link clients to treatment and recovery resources. This role emphasizes lived experience to help individuals take the next step toward recovery, with opportunities to work across community partners and agencies.

The on-call coach will document services, collaborate with hospitals, courts, and treatment providers, and help sustain recovery through coaching and referrals.

Qualifications

• Completion of a high school diploma or a GED.
• Be eligible for CPRC certification with MDHHS and/or CCAR.
• Be in recovery from a substance use disorder (SUD) for 24 consecutive months.
• Ability to pass background checks and screenings.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
• Flexibility to adjust hours including evenings and weekends.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct services to introduce recovery concepts and linkages to treatment and resources.
• Respond to emergent requests from hospitals, courts and community partners.
• Share resources including mutual aid, detox, treatment, housing and employment supports.
• Document services and maintain accurate records in EMR and funder databases.
• Educate about SUD, addiction, and recovery to diverse audiences.
• Comply with HIPAA, confidentiality laws and partnering agency procedures.
• Establish liaison relationships with agencies such as police, fire, hospitals and courts.
• Support Growth Works' mission and act as an ambassador for the recovery community.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
• Demonstrate knowledge of recovery-oriented care and trauma-informed principles.
• Work 3–4 eight-hour on-call shifts per week, including nights and weekends.
• Be available for supervisor check-ins and adapt to new partnerships as needed.
