Job summary

Acadia Healthcare's West Milwaukee Comprehensive Treatment Center seeks a Peer Support Specialist/Recovery Coach for an early-morning shift, Monday through Friday 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM. This grant-funded, full-time role focuses on engaging patients in MAT and supporting recovery efforts.

You will provide peer support, advocate for patients, connect with community resources, document progress, and collaborate with clinicians. Eligibility includes HS diploma; degree preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
• No prior field experience required, though highly preferred.
• Direct SUD experience or lived experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide peer support to clinically complex patients.
• Engage patients at initial contact to screen level of care.
• Advocate and mentor patients in recovery and engagement.
• Share coping techniques and self-help strategies to promote growth.
• Coordinate with clinical team and community resources to support recovery.
