Job summary

First Choice Services is seeking a Peer Recovery Coach in Clarksburg, WV to provide peer support, guide recovery planning, and act as a liaison to treatment resources. You will work closely with clients to promote wellness and long-term recovery within a supportive, ethics-driven environment.

Responsibilities include crisis response, documenting contacts, coordinating with treatment teams, and helping clients access community resources.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Lived personal recovery experience required.
• Ongoing involvement with a recovery system.
• PRSS certification or ongoing progress toward PRSS certification.
• Valid Driver’s License with reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Promote ongoing recovery with written recovery plans and tracking progress toward goals.
• Act as a guide/coach for peers to build resilience and overcome barriers.
• Identify environmental/interpersonal factors affecting recovery.
• Help clients locate resources for harm reduction, detox, treatment, and support groups.
• Assist clients in coordinating with their treatment team toward self-directed recovery.
• Document all client contact and referrals in the required systems.
