Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Must pursue WV Peer Recovery Credential within three months of hiring.
• Minimum of one year work experience in addiction/recovery.
• Must have transportation and a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provides recovery coaching services as part of the PROACT team.
• Helps individuals recover from substance use and co-occurring disorders.
• Promotes recovery by removing barriers to recovery.
• Serves as a mentor for people seeking or in recovery.
• Helps find resources for harm reduction, detox, treatment, and support groups.
• Assists in creating recovery plans and reducing harm.
• Identifies community services to meet diverse needs.
• Maintains records and HIPAA compliance.
• Performs outreach to promote recovery coaching.
• Connects individuals to supports to live independently.
• Attends recovery meetings and provides referrals.
• Acts as a role model in various communities.
• Participates in peer reviews.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
