Job summary

Align Integrated Care PLLC in Sandston, VA is seeking a compassionate Registered Peer Recovery Specialist to support individuals on their recovery journeys. The role leverages lived experience to inspire hope and provide mentorship within our behavioral health team.

You will help clients develop recovery plans, connect with community resources, document progress, and advocate for client needs. A Virginia RPRS certification and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

Active Virginia RPRS certification is required.
Personal lived experience with substance use or mental health recovery.
Strong communication with a non-judgmental approach and supportive demeanor.
Familiarity with community resources and recovery services.

Responsibilities

Provide peer support and mentorship to individuals in recovery programs.
Assist clients in developing individualized recovery plans and personal goals.
Connect clients with community resources, support groups, and social services.
Facilitate recovery-oriented group sessions and one-on-one peer coaching meetings.
Document client interactions, progress notes, and service activities in agency records.
Advocate for clients' needs within the care team and broader community.
Model recovery principles and promote a culture of hope and wellness.
