HER Campaign seeks a dedicated Peer Support Specialist to provide non-clinical, recovery-oriented support within outpatient services. The role relies on lived experience to promote hope, engagement, and self-direction.

You will work in outpatient and community settings, collaborating with clinical staff while maintaining peer support boundaries and documentation per Medicaid requirements.

Qualifications

• Current Montana CBHPSS certification required at the time of hire.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Lived experience with recovery from substance use, mental health challenges, or trauma is required.
• Minimum one year of experience in behavioral health or related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized, non-clinical peer support and recovery coaching.
• Help clients develop skills for recovery and community living.
• Model recovery behaviors and support use of community resources.
• Maintain confidentiality and document encounters per policy.
