Job summary

Helen Farabee Centers is seeking a Certified Peer Specialist/Recovery Coach to deliver supportive services to individuals with substance use and co-occurring disorders in an outpatient setting. You will advocate for clients, provide peer support, and help empower participants toward recovery.

The role includes education, data collection, and collaboration with treatment teams. You will operate under trauma-informed care, maintain confidentiality, and may facilitate community education groups

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Eligibility for Peer Provider/Recovery Coach designation within 4–12 months.
• Experience or lived experience with substance use disorder preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide support, information, and peer coaching in outpatient settings.
• Serve as consumer advocate and promote recovery and self-determination.
• Educate participants in the community and treatment settings.
• Monitor Recovery Support Services for up to one year.
• Collect data as required by Helen Farabee Centers and HHSC.
• Contribute to treatment planning and staff collaboration.
• Maintain trauma-informed, culturally sensitive practice.
