Job summary

AltaPointe Health is seeking a Certified Peer Specialist to engage individuals at high risk of relapse and support recovery-oriented care. You will collaborate with providers to strengthen treatment engagement, promote community integration, and support transitions from higher levels of care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; CPS certification preferred or obtained within 6 months.
• Must be 23 years of age and have a valid Alabama driver license with acceptable driving record.
• Proof of current liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Engage individuals transitioning from inpatient psychiatric hospitalization and other intensive behavioral health services.
• Provide recovery coaching to increase treatment engagement and independence.
• Assist with identifying personal recovery goals and developing individualized plans.
• Support linkage to community resources including housing, employment, and benefits.
