High Point & Affiliated Organizations in southeastern Massachusetts seeks a Recovery Coach Intern to support clients in community-based recovery efforts and coordinate with clinical teams.

This part-time role requires lived experience with substance use, RCA and ECRC trainings, and the ability to work with diverse individuals. You will document engagements in the EMR and coordinate with clinicians and navigators.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Lived experience with substance use and recovery.
• Completion of Recovery Coach Academy (RCA) and ECRC trainings.
• Ability to work with diverse backgrounds.
• Basic computer skills and willingness to learn EMR systems.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Compliance with 42 CFR Part 2 and HIPAA.
• Strong time-management and written/verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide emotional, social, and recovery-focused peer support and establish collaborative relationships with Members.
• Support Members in identifying recovery goals and building wellness plans.
• Assist Members in strengthening recovery-supportive networks (family, peers, community).
• Navigate treatment, medical, behavioral health, and social service systems.
• Assist with practical tasks: benefits, scheduling, transportation, housing stability.
• Serve as a recovery liaison for meetings with probation or child welfare as needed.
• Collaborate with clinicians, RSN, CSN, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care.
• Provide culturally responsive services and maintain productivity.
• Participate in supervision and documentation in the EMR.
