Job summary

Gándara Center in Westfield, MA is seeking a Recovery Coach to provide non-clinical supportive services to individuals seeking recovery. You will engage with members, build recovery capital, and support housing, employment, and social services needs.

The role requires lived experience, sobriety and knowledge of addiction treatment systems, with a flexible schedule to meet client needs. This full-time position offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional growth within the

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED is required.
Lived experience and 2 years of sobriety are required.
Knowledge of addiction treatment services is preferred.
Must have participated in a recovery coach academy.
Eligible to be a certified recovery coach.
Experience with adults with substance use disorders is required.

Responsibilities

Participate in developing and implementing community activities to support recovery.
Demonstrate relapse prevention strategies.
Provide program orientation services and requirements.
Conduct confidential, trauma-informed supports and culturally-responsive services.
Develop individualized plans with each recoveree to build recovery capital.
Coordinate with probation, parole, employment and education agencies as needed.
Link recoverees to community-based services and peer support groups.
Provide finance, housing, health, and life skills education to recoverees.
