Job summary

Greater Lawrence Family Health Center seeks a Recovery Coach to join the Moms Do Care team, providing non-clinical, strength-based support to individuals in recovery. The role emphasizes sharing lived experiences to help clients set goals and overcome barriers within OBAT and OB teams.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience in a similar or related field preferred.
• Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Computer proficiency, especially in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Valid Massachusetts Driver's license and access to reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide Recovery Coaching in a person-centered and strength-based manner.
• Share lived experiences and mentor individuals in recovery.
• Help individuals make positive life changes and build recovery skills.
• Discuss strategies for recovery-supportive friendships and community services.
• Facilitate connections to medical care, benefits and social services.
• Provide linguistically appropriate and culturally sensitive support.
• Link individuals to transportation and other resources as needed.
• Support clients in meetings with probation officers, social workers, and child welfare staff.
• Help clients build meaningful links to treatment and mutual aid.
