Job summary

The Recovery Coach at Gandara Center works as part of the Center team to provide non-clinical supportive services to individuals in recovery who walk through the Center doors. You will help build recovery capital by collecting information, guiding housing applications, resume building, and coordinating with support services while maintaining a flexible schedule as needed.

Key duties include developing community activities promoting recovery, relapse prevention, and orientation for membership

Qualifications

• Requires the Recovery Coach Attendance certificate and ability to work toward certification as a recovery coach.
• Lived experience with recovery and sobriety preferred, with 2 years of acknowledged continuous sobriety.
• Experience and knowledge regarding the addiction treatment service system.

Responsibilities

• Participate in developing and implementing community activities that support and promote recovery.
• Provide membership program orientation services and requirements.
• Conduct confidential, quality supports that are gender and culturally responsive, and trauma informed.
• Assist with developing individualized plans to build recovery capital for each member.
• Coordinate with probation, parole, employment and education agencies as needed.
