Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center is hiring a BHT Client Driver for our Baton Rouge outpatient facility. You will support admissions, transport clients to appointments, and assist with daily administrative tasks while maintaining a safe, recovery‑oriented environment.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, CPR certification, and a year or more of sobriety if you are in recovery. Avenues emphasizes compassionate care and strict safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and CPR certification required.
• Minimum 1 year of sobriety if in recovery.
• Extensive knowledge of motor vehicle laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day operational support to medical and clinical teams.
• Engage with clients to create a warm, supportive recovery environment.
• Monitor clients and enforce all policies for safety.
• Record critical communications/incidents promptly.
• Fulfill administrative duties (documentation, meetings, office tasks).
• Monitor transportation schedule and safely transport clients for admissions and appointments.
• Collect and deliver external documentation and lab specimens.
• Engage clients on peer support during transport and assist with luggage.
• Ensure vehicle is well-maintained, fueled, and ready for use.
