Qualifications

• Must have current Peer Support Specialist certification.
• Must be North Carolina Certified Peer Support Specialist.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must not be a family member of the served individual.
• Self-identify as someone in recovery from a mental health or substance use disorder.

Responsibilities

• Provide structured, scheduled peer support services focused on recovery and self-advocacy.
• Collaborate with Qualified Professional and care management teams to coordinate services.
• Assist members with navigating housing, finances, employment readiness, and community resources.
• Promote wellness and resilience in community, residence, and workplace.
• Maintain documentation and adhere to policies and procedures.
• Support emergency situations per employer procedures.
• Engage in outreach to increase access to care.
