Job summary

Start Wellness in North Carolina seeks Certified Peer Support Specialists to provide structured, recovery-focused peer support services. You will share lived experience, promote self-advocacy, and collaborate with Qualified Professionals to support member goals.

Responsibilities include engaging with Integrated Care Teams, assisting with housing, finances, employment readiness, and navigating community resources, while maintaining documentation and compliance with policies.

Qualifications

• Must have current Peer Support Specialist certification (NC)
• Must be supervised by a Qualified Professional (QP)
• Must not be a family member of the beneficiary
• Experience applying peer support principles in recovery contexts
• Strong collaboration with care teams and community resources

Responsibilities

• Provide structured, scheduled peer support to promote recovery and self-determination
• Share lived experience to support treatment and recovery
• Collaborate with QP to develop supervision plans and address barriers
• Assist beneficiaries in navigating medical, social services, and legal systems
• Engage with Integrated Care Teams and community resources to expand services
• Maintain caseloads and accurate documentation per policy
