Job summary

American Addiction Centers is seeking a Treatment Advocate to support patients’ recovery, observe daily activities, and assist with service coordination. The TA will operate the company vehicle to transport clients and facility visitors while collaborating with the Treatment team to ensure comprehensive care.

You will welcome patients, help with schedules, conduct safety checks, and support counseling services for inpatient and outpatient adults, maintaining HIPAA and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associates or Bachelor's in Behavioral Sciences preferred.
• Valid driver's license with insurable record.
• Experience in behavioral healthcare preferred (1 year).
• Experience with EHR software and documentation preferred.
• Ability to read/write, type documentation, and present to groups.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Must be able to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming new patients and orienting programming schedule.
• Conduct patient belongings search during admission.
• Complete safety rounds and security checks.
• Coordinate patient daily schedule including meetings and activities.
• Provide support and encouragement to patients.
• Support participation in group, individual, and family counseling.
• Support clinical and nursing services as assigned.
• Participate in weekly treatment team and staff meetings.
• Ensure documentation meets standards following AAC policy.
• Communicate with departments to ensure best care.
• Provide supportive services to outpatient and inpatient adults.
• Identify safety concerns and report to Clinical Manager/CEO.
• Abide by HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2.
