Job summary

American Addiction Centers seeks a Treatment Advocate to observe daily activities and assist in patient recovery. The TA collaborates with the treatment team and supports service coordination; the role includes operating the company vehicle to transport clients and visitors.

Schedule: Sunday, Monday, Thursday Friday, Saturday 7am–3:30pm. Responsibilities include welcome/orientation, safety checks, weekly meetings, and documentation in line with licenses and standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Behavioral Sciences (social sciences, human services, counseling or psychology).
• Valid Driver’s License with insurable driving record.
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) software and documentation preferred.
• Ability to read, write and interpret information; present to groups; participate in meetings.

Responsibilities

• Welcome new patients and orient them to the programming schedule and rules.
• Conduct safety rounds and security checks.
• Coordinate patient daily schedule including treatment meetings and interventions.
• Provide support and encouragement to patients and participation in counseling services.
• Maintain documentation per AAC policy guidelines and ensure timely reporting.

Education
