Job summary

AdCare Hospital American Addiction Centers in Worcester, MA, seeks a compassionate Treatment Advocate to assist with admissions, transfers, discharges, and support for patients’ daily activities. The TA will also provide 11 patient observation and help with gentle transfers within the facility, working closely with nursing and clinical teams to identify and address patients’ needs.

The role emphasizes empathy, safety, and collaboration, contributing to recovery efforts and high-quality patient

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.
• CNA or MA certification preferred.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team and to handle multiple tasks safely and effectively.
• Good communication skills, including the ability to communicate sensitive information with empathy.
• Working knowledge of Google Office and EMR preferred.
• Substance Abuse experience/knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meet new patients in admissions; screen baggage; document valuables; assist with skin checks.
• Escort and orient patients to unit and hospital; educate on rules and schedules.
• Support safety; assist with full body evaluations, searches, and rounds.
• Assist with room/floor transfers and discharges; gather personal belongings.
• Assist with ADL activities; deliver meals; provide fluids and nourishment.
• Provide adjunct care per nursing direction; monitor patients.
• Follow policies, safety checks, and confidentiality requirements.
• Report observations to licensed staff to ensure patient safety.
