Job summary

Colorado Coalition for the Homeless is seeking a Peer Specialist who uses lived experience to support clients in recovery and to navigate complex systems within a Denver-based integrated team. The role emphasizes empowerment, advocacy, and strength-based coaching.

You will mentor individuals, facilitate recovery activities both individually and in groups, coordinate access to healthcare, housing and behavioral health services, transport clients as needed, and document all services in the EHR

Qualifications

• Must have lived experience with recovery, homelessness, or behavioral health challenges.
• Completion of accredited Peer Specialist training preferred and BLS within 30 days.
• Bi-lingual English-Spanish preferred.
• Colorado driver's license required within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Mentor clients using personal lived experience to set goals and build skills.
• Facilitate individual and group counseling activities for clients in recovery.
• Coordinate with internal teams and community partners to access services.
• Transport clients to appointments using a CCH vehicle or approved personal vehicle.
• Document services and maintain up-to-date records in the EHR.
