Job summary

Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV) seeks a Records Specialist (WT: Motorist Services Specialist) in Tallahassee to handle all DUI and IID inquiries, update driver records, and compile monthly statistics. The role requires strong communication, data entry, and knowledge of related laws.

Responsibilities include maintaining DUI program files, processing change notices, and ensuring accuracy across systems such as FDLIS and Capture. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of DUI and IID related laws, statutes and rules.
• Ability to draft correspondence and proofread documents.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Access and Outlook.
• Data collection and input into driver license databases.
• Strong organizational skills and time management.
• Excellent customer service via phone, fax and email.
• Ability to create and track files and maintain records.
• Ability to interpret laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational support to DUI and IID sections and related programs.
• Handle DUI/IID inquiries via phone, fax and email.
• Update drivers' records with accurate information and generate monthly stats.
