Job summary

The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission is seeking a Clerical Supervisor to lead the Records Retention Section in the Secretary's Bureau, ensuring records are properly maintained, accessible, secure, and preserved. The role requires supervising staff and guiding daily workflow.

You will administer retention schedules, authorize access, coordinate transfers to the State Records Center or Archives, and oversee the digitizing project converting microfilm to digital scans.

Qualifications

• One year as a Clerical Supervisor 1 or Clerical Assistant 3.
• Two years as a Clerical Assistant 2.
• Equivalent combination of experience and training.
• PA residency requirement.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Records Retention staff and direct daily workflow.
• Administer file purging and ensure retention schedules are followed.
• Implement record systems and maintain adherence to Commission requirements.
• Approve personnel access to records and coordinate transfers to State Records Center or Archives.
• Share updates between PHMC and the Commission and participate in meetings/trainings.
• Supervise the digitizing project converting microfilmed records to digital scans and authorize records to be placed online at the Commission's website.
