Job summary

Job description

The Records Management Supervisor position with the Department of Environmental Protection gives you the chance to guide important office operations. This role lets you support staff, strengthen recordkeeping systems, and ensure smooth daily workflows. This position supports regional operations by supervising clerical staff, maintaining record systems, and ensuring smooth front desk procedures. As a Records Management Supervisor, you will perform the following duties:

  • Staff Supervision:Direct clerical staff, assign work, conduct evaluations, and provide needed training
  • Record Maintenance:Oversee file organization, scanning preparation, and adherence to program-specific formats
  • Front Desk Coordination:Manage visitor interactions, communication procedures, and supply needs for front desk operations
  • Equipment Oversight:Maintain scanners, microfiche readers, and filing equipment while monitoring supply inventory
  • Public File Reviews:Coordinate public review requests, retrieve files, and ensure confidential information is protected
  • Operational Support:Interpret new assignments, prepare guidance emails, and assist with special projects as needed

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary:Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $46,827 (before taxes).

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • One year as a Clerical Supervisor 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • One year as a Clerical Assistant 3 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Two years as a Clerical Assistant 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
