Midlands Technical College is seeking a records management professional to provide technical administrative support for the Records Office. The role involves implementing retention schedules, monitoring compliance, and coordinating the transfer, storage, and disposition of official records in accordance with policies and procedures.
The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree and relevant program experience, with at least one year in a Registrar’s office at a higher education
Serves as technical administrative support for the Records Office. With limited supervision, is responsible for the execution of standards and specialized functions of records management and retention compliance for MTC constituents. The position supports the organization, maintenance, classification, retention, retrieval, and disposition of official records in accordance with applicable policies, regulations, and established records management procedures. The position assists with implementing records retention schedules, monitoring compliance, and coordinating the timely transfer, storage, and disposition of records. Responsibilities may include responding to records-related inquiries, maintaining accurate databases and tracking systems, preparing reports and documentation, and providing guidance to departments regarding records management practices and retention requirements. This role requires strong attention to detail, sound organizational skills, discretion in handling confidential information, and the ability to interpret and consistently apply established standards and procedures. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with departments and constituents to promote accurate, efficient, and compliant records management practices while ensuring records are accessible, secure, and maintained throughout their required lifecycle. This position will be located on Midlands Technical College Beltline Campus.
A bachelor's degree and relevant program experience.
At least one year of professional work experience in the Registrar’s office at an institution of higher learning. Experience working with the Colleague student module.
