Job summary

Omni Family Health in Shafter, CA is seeking a Medical Records and Grievance Manager to lead the Medical Records operations and the grievance program across its growing network. The role reports to the Associate Director of Patient Engagement and Services and focuses on integrity, privacy, and timely responses.

Responsibilities include supervising MR staff, ensuring HIPAA compliance, coordinating with IT and external partners on EHRs, and driving process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management or related field.
• RHIT/RHIA certification preferred.
• Six years of experience in medical records or health information management, with three in a management role.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily medical records operations across all health centers.
• Supervise MR staff including hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and performance management.
• Manage the full lifecycle of grievances from intake to resolution under regulatory timelines.
• Ensure HIPAA, state, federal, and accreditation compliance.
• Coordinate with IT and external partners on EHR and document management.
