Performs entry‑level administrative support work for the Information Technology Division's Records Management team located at TxDOT's Stassney offices in Austin, Texas. Work involves supporting the organization, storage, retrieval, review, and disposition of TxDOT records in both physical and electronic formats. Duties may include assisting with records warehouse activities; processing physical record boxes; using standard office equipment such as computers, scanners, printers, copiers, carts, and filing or labeling supplies; entering and tracking information in Microsoft Office applications or other approved systems; preparing and reviewing basic program documents; and helping identify opportunities to improve or modernize records management processes. Employees at this level perform assignments following specific instructions and are subject to frequent review by the immediate supervisor.
Must be a student in high school or other educational institution or accepted into a college, university or educational institution.
Must be at least 16 years of age, a student currently enrolled in high school or any institution of higher education to include a trade/vocational school.
Employees at least 18 years of age with valid driver's license may be assigned driving duties and may use power tools.
Preference will be given to students enrolled in an Information Science, Library Science, or similar program at any level.
