Job summary

Morrie’s Auto Group is seeking an automotive technician to diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicle systems at our West Bend, WI location. The role involves testing, driving tests, and using diagnostic computers to ensure safety and reliability.

The ideal candidate will have a clean driving record, a valid license, and be able to work flexible hours, including Saturdays. Background checks will be required, and opportunities for advancement are available within the company.

Qualifications

• A clean driving record and a valid driver's license.
• Entry-level candidates with working knowledge of cars preferred.
• Ability to pass background check and work flexible hours, including Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes and related systems.
• Test to ensure systems and components are secure and working properly.
• Drive vehicle for test runs or use diagnostic equipment.
• Maintain accuracy and efficiency in diagnosing and repairing vehicles.
• Follow a checklist to examine critical parts of the vehicle.
• Inspect hoses, belts, plugs, fuel systems, brakes and other components.
• Use hand tools and power tools to repair parts.
• Prepare vehicle damage repair estimates.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Responsible for diagnosing and repairing problems with the engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and similar systems.-
• Testing to check whether systems and components are secure and are working properly.
• Driving the vehicle for testing purposes or using various equipment, including hand-held and onboard compression gauges or diagnostic computers.
• Maintaining efficiency and accuracy in diagnosing as well as repairing vehicles.
• Following a checklist in ensuring that, they examine each critical part of the vehicle.
• Watching or inspecting closely parts like hoses, belts, plugs, fuel systems, brakes, and other possible troublesome items.
• Using power tools like pneumatic wrenches in order to remove bolts easily and quickly.
• Using machine tools, such as grinding machines and lathes to rebuild brakes.
• Using common hand tools like screwdrivers, wrenches, and pliers, to work on small-scale parts.
• Writing vehicle damage repair estimates
