Morrie's Inver Grove Mazda in Inver Grove Heights, MN seeks an automotive technician to diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, electrical systems, steering, suspension and brakes. You will test drive vehicles, use diagnostic tools, and ensure all systems meet safety and performance standards.

Qualifications

• Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, electrical and braking systems.
• Test drives and diagnose to ensure safe vehicle performance.
• Ability to follow checklists and inspect key components.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair problems with engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes.
• Test to ensure systems and components are secure and working properly.
• Drive the vehicle for testing or use diagnostic equipment.
• Maintain efficiency and accuracy in diagnosing and repairing.
• Follow a checklist to examine each critical part of the vehicle.
• Inspect hoses, belts, plugs, fuel systems, brakes and other items.
• Use pneumatic wrenches to remove bolts quickly.
• Use grinding machines and lathes to rebuild brakes.
• Use hand tools to work on small-scale parts.
• Write vehicle damage repair estimates.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Responsible for diagnosing and repairing problems with the engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and similar systems.-


• Testing to check whether systems and components are secure and are working properly.


• Driving the vehicle for testing purposes or using various equipment, including hand-held and onboard compression gauges or diagnostic computers.


• Maintaining efficiency and accuracy in diagnosing as well as repairing vehicles.


• Following a checklist in ensuring that, they examine each critical part of the vehicle.


• Watching or inspecting closely parts like hoses, belts, plugs, fuel systems, brakes, and other possible troublesome items.


• Using power tools like pneumatic wrenches in order to remove bolts easily and quickly.


• Using machine tools, such as grinding machines and lathes to rebuild brakes.


• Using common hand tools like screwdrivers, wrenches, and pliers, to work on small-scale parts.


• Writing vehicle damage repair estimates
