Job summary

Morrie’s Auto Group is hiring a skilled automotive technician at Morrie’s West Bend Honda in West Bend, WI. The role focuses on diagnosing and repairing engines and systems, with hands-on testing and vehicle road checks to ensure proper operation.

The candidate will work with tools and diagnostic equipment, following checklists to inspect critical parts and ensure safety and reliability. A clean driving record and ability to pass a background check are required.

Qualifications

• Able to diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, electrical systems, steering and brakes.
• Willing to work flexible hours including Saturdays.
• Must have a clean driving record and a valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair problems with engines, transmissions, electrical systems, steering, suspension, brakes, and related systems.
• Test to ensure all systems and components are secure and functioning correctly.
• Test drive vehicles using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Maintain efficiency and accuracy in diagnostics and repairs.
• Follow a checklist to examine critical vehicle parts.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Responsible for diagnosing and repairing problems with the engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and similar systems.
• Testing to check whether systems and components are secure and are working properly.
• Driving the vehicle for testing purposes or using various equipment, including hand‑held and onboard compression gauges or diagnostic computers.
• Maintaining efficiency and accuracy in diagnosing as well as repairing vehicles.
• Following a checklist to ensure that, they examine each critical part of the vehicle.
• Watching or inspecting closely parts like hoses, belts, plugs, fuel systems, brakes, and other possible troublesome items.
• Using power tools like pneumatic wrenches to remove bolts easily and quickly.
• Using machine tools, such as grinding machines and lathes to rebuild brakes.
• Using common hand tools like screwdrivers, wrenches, and pliers to work on small‑scale parts.
• Writing vehicle damage repair estimates.
