Job summary

Cavender Auto Group is seeking a skilled Recon Technician to perform repairs and diagnostics in a full-time, in-person role. You will work closely with the Service team to ensure quality and timely completion of repairs.

Ideal candidates have a strong automotive background, ASE certifications are a plus, and you must be able to pass a drug screen and background check. A clean, valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• ASE certifications are ideal for this role.
• Solid automotive background and hands-on repair experience.
• Strong teamwork and communication with service staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles and diagnose components using diagnostic tools.
• Repair and maintain vehicle systems (engine, transmission, electrical, steering, brakes, A/C).
• Communicate with the Service Advisor about needed additional work and time estimates.

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• ASE certifications are ideal
• Strong automotive background
• Strong teamwork skills
• Willing to submit to a drug screen & background check
• Must have clean & valid driver's license
