Job summary

Cavalier Ford Chesapeake Square is hiring certified technicians to join our team in a clean, temperature-controlled shop. We offer a safe environment, competitive wages, and a focus on training and advancement.

You will diagnose and repair vehicle systems, test drive vehicles, and communicate effectively with the Service Advisor to keep customers informed about required services. We provide extensive benefits, including medical, 401(k), retirement training programs, and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• ASE certification is a plus.
• Strong automotive background.
• Strong teamwork skills.
• Must have a clean & valid driver's license.
• Willing to submit to a drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles and diagnose components using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and A/C.
• Communicate with Service Advisor about required or additional repairs and provide time estimates.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
• Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
• Other responsibilities may be assigned through continued employment
